Maurizio Bertocco, President and Chief Executive Officer of ILPRA S.p.A., has been elected as the new President of UCIMA, the Italian Packaging Machinery Manufacturers Association. The appointment was officially announced during UCIMA’s 2026 Annual Members’ Assembly, entitled “Trajectories”, an event focused on the challenges and opportunities shaping the future of the packaging industry.
Bertocco will lead the association for the 2026–2030 term, succeeding Riccardo Cavanna. His election represents an important recognition of both ILPRA’s growth journey and its longstanding contribution to the packaging industry. Founded in 1955 and listed on the stock exchange, ILPRA develops and manufactures packaging solutions for the food, cosmetic, and medical sectors.
In his inaugural address, Bertocco identified strengthening the competitiveness of member companies, fostering innovation, and enhancing the industry’s ability to navigate an increasingly complex global landscape as key priorities for the coming years. These themes closely reflected the event’s concept, which encouraged discussion on the major development paths of Italian manufacturing.
Maurizio Bertocco’s appointment as President of UCIMA highlights ILPRA’s prominent role within the Italian and international packaging sector and provides an opportunity to actively contribute to the industry’s future development.
